About This Place

Located on the bustling stretch of Atlantic Avenue in Atlantic City, Crown Fried Chicken stands out as a vibrant haven for lovers of authentic Pakistani and Halal cuisine, blended seamlessly with classic American fried chicken and seafood favorites. This chicken restaurant is a neighborhood gem where the aromatic spices of South Asia meet hearty comfort food, pleasing locals and visitors alike.

At Crown Fried Chicken, the menu is a flavorful journey through Pakistani culinary traditions. Signature dishes such as the Mutton Biryani and Chicken Nihari with 2 Naan invite you to indulge in slow-cooked, rich stews and perfectly seasoned rice, where every bite bursts with depth and warmth. The Chapli Kabab, a spiced ground meat patty served with naan and chutney, has been hailed by patrons as some of the best in town—a must-try for first-timers and regulars alike. The subtle char and vibrant spice profile hint at meticulous preparation and authentic technique that food enthusiasts will deeply appreciate.

Beyond Pakistani classics, the restaurant also serves crowd-pleasing seafood selections like crispy fried whiting fish paired with fries, jumbo shrimp, and crab cake sandwiches, offering a satisfying alternative for those craving the Atlantic City coastal flavors. Complementing the savory main dishes are a variety of sides and snacks such as samosas, cheese fries, and banana puddings, adding additional textures and tastes that elevate the overall dining experience.

Customer reviews reflect a genuine appreciation for both the quality and authenticity that Crown Fried Chicken delivers. Shahryar Nagori praises the Chapli Kabab as unparalleled in the area, while another guest, jayden7092, raves about the samosas, humorously crediting a friendly Middle Eastern team member for crafting the “best samosas in town.” Dishes like freshly cooked briyani, as noted by Kris Kayson, are worth the short wait, confirming that the kitchen prioritizes freshness and flavor over rush service. Casual diners appreciate the friendly atmosphere and the welcoming vibe expressed by patrons like Kashif Zahir who highlights the clean, authentic Halal options alongside delicious cheesesteaks and fried chicken.

While the ambiance is relaxed and tailored more toward quick dine-in or takeout convenience rather than fine dining, some guests mention that the restaurant could benefit from enhanced parking and a more family-oriented atmosphere. Nevertheless, Crown Fried Chicken remains a reliable late-night spot—open until midnight—that satisfies cravings after a long day in the casino district, with reasonable prices and generous portions to match.

In sum, Crown Fried Chicken is a flavorful and welcoming destination in Atlantic City for anyone seeking authentic Pakistani dishes in a casual setting, complemented by classic fried chicken and seafood staples. It is a place where the rich aroma of spices, the crunch of perfectly fried chicken, and the warmth of freshly baked naan come together to create a comforting and memorable meal.

Whether you are a local or just passing through, this vibrant spot invites you to dive into the spirited tastes of Pakistan and more, guaranteeing a dining experience that is both honest and satisfying.

I would highly recommend to try this place if you are local in area. One should try their best Chapli kabab of town. You can find alternate halal restaurants near by for dine in but you won’t get same kind of kababs that they serve. I wish there would be parking option as well as better atmosphere for families but it’s ok for quick dine in or definitely for take out. Good luck to the owners.

PROs- open till midnight , parking , price and food CONs - nothing much ,taste of biryani could be better , vegetarian options First timer. We spent sometime in casinos and came outside to have dinner . Was craving jndja. Food and saw that most of the restaurants were closed at about 8 pm . Luckily found this one and we all came for dinner . Nice location and good parking facilities . Interior isn’t that neat but good for once in a while. Service was good . Hot and spicy food .. Vegetarian options were ok .. tasted ok. But meat varieties were absolutely awesome ! Kebab was superb . Lamb curry was just awesome with naan. Biryani was good but could have been a little better . No complaints though. At that time, at about 8 pm this food was like heaven . Nice and friendly staff. Liked it overall ..

Tried this place there was not to many options around at late night. The cashier was friendly and the food is ok. I wondered about the Pakistani options and tried the rice and was good. Is not a fancy place but is good and is close to the casino.
